STONEY LAKE COTTAGE

This area of Stoney lake with its granite and pine is absolutely beautiful and worth exploring by canoe or pedal boat (both provided at no charge), but please bring lifejackets if you plan to use these.

Our cottage, perfect for families, is located on the Northeast shore of beautiful Stoney Lake, 40 minutes north of Peterborough. Nearby is Petroglyphs Provincial Park, which is great for a day trip. 20 minutes away is the town of Lakefield, which has lots of small-town charm, an art gallery and many places to eat and shop. We are also a short walk to a general store which rents movies.

The cottage is cozy and inviting. On the main floor is the kitchen that features a skylight, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, coffee maker and table for 4. There is a bright, comfortably decorated living room (stereo, 32" TV, VCR, DVD), large Master bedroom with a quality queen sized bed (+TV, dressers etc.), a second bedroom (single bed, ideal for a child) and the bathroom (bathtub, shower, sink, flush toilet). Upstairs is a stylishly decorated 'lounge' that features two futon beds. In terms of accommodation, it comfortably sleeps 4 in the bedrooms and lounge, and the sofa in the living room is a good quality pull-out .

The 30' grassy shoreline has a dock from which to swim. There is also a large rock island a short distance away, which is ideal for swimming from and sunbathing. At the dock the lake bottom is sandy and deepens very gradually.

We charge $75/person/week extra

for each person over 4 people.

An aluminum boat with a 9.9hp motor is

available for $75/week.

Check in is Friday, 8pm.
